The Pioneer Press reported that two men were charged in a St. Paul elevator on October 22.
The report said that the attack occurred in an apartment building at 2150 Wilson Ave. The Ramsey County attorney’s office charged Don Conley, 34, of St. Paul, and Swenson Keeler, 26. The two sexually assaulted the woman when she was on her way to see her mother. She escaped the attack after she kicked one of them and elbowed the other.
The victim reported that she did not know her attackers.
The two men were in a Cadillac near by the building when they saw the 26-year-old woman going into the building. They followed her into the elevator and sexually assaulted her.
Both men’s bail was set at $40,000. Conley and Keeler both seemed to have prior criminal record, although Conley was convicted of more crimes.
