A girl found in New York says she has no memory

CNN reported that it has been about two weeks since a girl was found who has no memory or identity of who she is.

CNN reported that authorities have gotten no help from the public or attain any clues to who exactly this girl is. The girl was found on October 9th, a little past midnight in front of a shelter home for at-risk youth and juveniles.

Doctors say that the young woman can be anywhere from 14 to 17 years of age. She has a 2-to 4-inch scar on her back and had a handwritten birthday message on her arm. CNN also reported that authorities said that the young woman has no recollection of what exactly happened to her before she got to the shelter. She has been writing excerpts from a novel by Robin Hobb called "Fool's Fate".

Authorities are urging for any assistances from the public. However, they did also say that the girl is currently safe and is doing well. Their number one priority is to find her family and identify who she is exactly.

The girl is currently reviewing materials for a high school GED exam and authorities said that she is able to do the math portion of it very well while she has a hard time with her recollection to studying any of the material.

Police are asking anyone with information about this young woman to contact NYPD Missing Persons Squad immediately.
