Woman hit by bus dies

A woman was hit by a Minneapolis Transit bus Friday morning in South Minneapolis. After sustaining serious injuries from the accident, the woman died Friday evening in the hospital.

The StarTribune reported that the woman, Rebecca Cruzen, 43, of Minneapolis died Friday at the Hennepin Country Medical Center. 

She was pronounced dead but was kept on life support so that her organs can be donated. 

The accident happened at the 46th Street light-rail platform. When Cruzen was walking on the sidewalk, and was at the time trying to cross the driveway of the bus was suddenly hit by a bus that was trying to make a left turn. 

The bus driver will be going under a drug and alcohol test to determine if he was under the influence at the time of the accident.
